DANCE FUNDRAISING

Here at Studio 88 we have a fundraising program, D.A.N.C.E., to assist our dance families with any of their dance expense.  This upcoming dance year we have the opportunity to fund-raise at Florida State University football concession stands for the up coming season.  We are also looking into participating at the Leon County Civic Center concession stands for the Fall and Spring for any upcoming concerts, graduations, basketball games and more.  The nice thing about fundraising is that you can sign up for what works with your personal schedule.  The money that is raised can pay for any dance expense such as tuition, costumes, dance wear, competition fees, recital tickets and more.

Fundraising FAQs

1. How is money raised?

Monies are raised by working any fundraising event.  FSU football games, civic center events, Beef O’Brady’s, El Jalisco, car washes, gift wrapping at Bass Pro Shop, yard sales, dinner & a show at the studio are just some of the examples of fundraising opportunities for the upcoming year.

2. Who can work?

Any family member over the age of 16 can work an event.  Persons under 18 must have waiver signed by their parent or guardian. Also, please provide copy of a birth certificate to prove age of participant.

3. What can I spend money on?

The monies can pay for any dance expense such as tuition, costumes, dance wear, competition fees, recital tickets and more.

4. How quickly will money be deposited into the DANCE?

Monies are deposited as soon as they are received.  In the past, they have taken 2-3 weeks after an event has been worked.

5. How do I use monies from the DANCE?

Just ask the receptionist for a DANCE Request For Funds slip.  Fill it out and turn it in to the receptionist.

6. What is the required uniform for fundraising events?

 Official DANCE fundraising t-shirt

Black, tan or khaki bottoms (Shorts are OK!)

 Tennis shoes

FSU hat - provided by Aramark. For FSU games and Civic Center events only.

Long hair must be pulled up

**If you are not in the required uniform, you will not be allowed to work the event.

8. How and when do I get an official fundraising t-shirt?

These are ordered through the studio.  There are some shirts in stock at the studio.  Please check with Ms. Lauren. Shirt sizes range from adult small thru adult 2XL and cost $15 each.  Shirt order deadline is 8/25.  Hats are provided by Aramark.  If you would like a new hat they cost $4.

9. What is the check in time for FSU games?

Check in times are general 5 hours prior to kick off.  I advise that if you are working a FSU game to schedule your whole Saturday to be at the stadium.  We will meet at the gate and go in as a group.  Weekly game schedules with rosters will be emailed to you.  So, make sure that we have your correct email address or phone number if you would rather the information be texted to you.

10. Carpooling?

For those interested in carpooling, we meet at the Walmart shopping center at the in Crawfordville.  We meet 45 minutes prior to check in time for the games.  The upside to carpooling is that one of our volunteers owns a house close to the stadium where we are allowed to park the carpooling vehicles.  If you do not carpool, parking is up to you.  Please don’t be late!

11. Can I bring food or drink with me into the stadium when I work a game?

Absolutely!  Please bring a cup to the games as we are allowed free fountain drinks during the game and it’s important to stay hydrated because we’re busy.  Personal snacks are welcome as well.  Game days are long and you don’t want to have to pay stadium prices for your food.

**Also, each person who works a game will get one free “meal” per event.  This usually consists of a pretzel or hotdog.
